Academic Expertise

Being based at the University of Stirling we have a wealth of academic expertise at our fingertips. This allows us to not only provide a competitive media production service but underpin that with a strong scientific and historical knowledge base. One of our projects involved looking at the views from neolithic rock art sites. The theory was that the sites were in locations where people would have had extensive views of the surrounding landscapes. By looking at research from local pollen cores, we were able to establish that most of the sites would have been surrounded by woodland and when we recreated the sites in virtual reality based on this information, it became clear that the views from the sites would actually have been fairly limited. This research has since been published in a leading archaeological research journal.
