The Virtual Landscape Centre

The Virtual Landscape Center is a media production studio with a difference. Drawing upon the universities academic expertise, we are specialists in designing and producing interpretive media for the tourism and heritage market. The VLC offers a full range of media services including film production, 3D modeling, display graphics and interactive exhibits. Past projects have required us to work closely with some of Scotland's leading heritage and environmental bodies, including Historic Scotland, the Forestry Commission and Scottish Natural Heritage.
What can we do for you? We can undertake historic research, using archeological evidence and site reports to build accurate and informative 3D reconstructions, that the viewer can either watch as part of a film experience or walk through within a real-time virtual reality simulation. We can bring to life past or future environments to show the progression of time, mans impact upon the natural environment or architectural developments within the landscape. We can turn your visual media into a complete audio visual presentation, or design your film from scratch. Many projects involve generating full visual storyboards which are agreed with the client before going into production, ensuring the media meets your requirements. We can create bespoke marketing or interpretive display material that tells your story. Whether you require Interpretation boards, leaflets or DVD case graphics. Our studio is fully equipped with the production equipment, academic specialists and experienced creative media designers, able to turn your concept or idea into a fully working visitor experience. Please contact us to find out more about how we can meet your interpretive media requirements. |
